No. Security film holds the glass together when it breaks, which slows a break-in down and keeps broken glass out of the room. 3M says its safety and security film can hold an intruder back for up to two minutes.
Do you remove old window film?
Yes. For commercial customers we remove old film on its own, or before new film goes on. Peeling, bubbled or purple film comes off clean, and the glass is ready for whatever’s next.
