Fletch Window Tint is a 3M window film dealer in San Antonio, and one of only two 3M Prestige Dealers in the city. 3M Car Window Tint
Every car film we install is 3M, cut on a computer plotter and put on at our Grissom Road shop, to the Texas tint rule.
3M Ceramic IR Window Tint
The heat film. Nano-ceramic layers block infrared heat without a dark look, and nothing in it bothers your phone or GPS.
3M Crystalline Window Film
3M’s top car film, installed by a 3M Crystalline certified shop. More heat out at lighter shades, so you can stay legal.
3M Prestige Home Window Film
The clear one. Cuts heat and glare without darkening the glass, so the house looks the same from the street.

There are two 3M Prestige Dealers in San Antonio, and Fletch Window Tint is one of them. Being a Prestige Dealer means 3M has authorized us to offer its window films, from car tint to home film to security film for schools.
Our installers are trained and certified by 3M. We hold the 3M Preferred Installer certificate, and we’re a 3M Crystalline certified shop, so the people tinting your car are certified on 3M’s top car film. You can see the paperwork on our certifications page.

3M invented window film
3M invented window film. It was granted its first patent for window film in 1966, and it still makes its own film today, from car tint to home film to security film.
3M says Crystalline, its top car film, packs more than 200 layers into a film thinner than a Post-it Note (3M makes those too, so it would know).
Why we chose 3M
We picked 3M in 2019 for three reasons: people know the name, 3M stands behind its dealers, and the film is good. Those are still the reasons, and it’s why every film we install today is 3M.
In window film since 1989, a 3M dealer since 2019
Fletch Window Tint started tinting cars in San Antonio in 1989, for a few local dealers. We became a 3M dealer in 2019. Those are two different dates, and both matter: one is how long we’ve been doing this, the other is how long we’ve been doing it with 3M.
In our first year with 3M, we were named 2019 3M New Prestige Dealer of the Year. Sally and I didn’t see that one coming.
Since 1989 we’ve tinted more than 120,000 cars, put film on more than 5,000 homes and worked for more than 2,500 businesses. That’s over 5 million square feet of film. We’re still family owned, and the BBB rates us A+.

3M Crystalline
3M’s top car film. It rejects more heat than many darker films without changing the look of the car, so you can stay inside the Texas rule and still feel the difference. Read about Crystalline.

A nationwide e-warranty
3M car film carries a limited lifetime warranty from 3M. When an authorized 3M dealer installs it, you also get a nationwide e-warranty. It’s electronic, so there’s no slip of paper to lose in the glovebox under eleven ketchup packets.
Legal in Texas
We install to the Texas rule: front side windows at 25% or lighter, back windows as dark as you like, and a clear or light film on the windshield. If you ask for something the law doesn’t allow, we’ll tell you before we start.

3M home window film cuts heat and glare, and it blocks the UV that fades floors, rugs and furniture. We carry 3M’s top home films: Prestige, Night Vision and Thinsulate.
3M Prestige
Prestige rejects a lot of heat without changing how the windows look. The house looks the same from the street, and the view looks the same from the couch.
3M Night Vision
Night Vision keeps your view and cuts the glare. Go darker and it gives you daytime privacy too. Read about Night Vision.
What it costs
Home window film runs about $7 to $19 per square foot of glass, installed. We bring the 3M samples and a heat lamp to your house, so you can feel the difference on your own windows before you pay for anything.
3M Prestige on a limestone home
3M film for businesses, schools and government buildings
We install 3M film on offices, storefronts, schools, churches and government buildings, for heat, glare, privacy and security. Most installs can happen after hours or over a weekend, so your doors stay open.
3M Safety and Security Film holds glass together when it breaks and slows down anyone trying to force their way in. 3M says it can hold back an intruder for up to two minutes. We put more than 10,000 square feet of it on the Bexar County Elections Office in 10 days, and 3M Ultra 800 on more than 100 windows at St. Peter’s Catholic School in Boerne in 4 days. Privacy film for Marriott
Marriott chose us for privacy film on its atrium, where guests had to close the drapes to get any privacy. The install took a week, and it’s still my favorite job.
3M Fasara glass finishes and 3M DI-NOC finishes
3M makes more than window film, and we install that too. 3M Fasara glass finishes go on glass and add a frosted look, a pattern or a design, so a room gets privacy and keeps its light. Read more about 3M decorative window film.
3M DI-NOC architectural finishes go on walls, cabinets, counters, doors and pillars. They give a surface the look of wood, metal or another texture, for a fraction of what replacing it would cost. It’s a new look for a room without the demolition.

Cars and homes
Car and home film carry a lifetime film warranty. It covers film that fails, bubbles, peels or discolors, and we re-apply it free, labor included. We’ll show you the paperwork before you pay.

Commercial warranties depend on the film. Most 3M commercial films carry 12 to 15 years, and you’ll see the terms for your film before you sign anything.

When there’s a problem, we make it right. That’s been the rule at Fletch since 1989, and I don’t plan on changing it.
How buying 3M film from us works
Every job starts with a free quote. What happens next depends on what you’re filming.
- Cars. Call or fill in the form, then bring the car to our shop on Grissom Road. Same-day is usually available.
- Homes. We bring the samples and the heat lamp to your house, measure the windows and give you a written quote. Most homes are done in a day.
- Businesses. A free site survey and a written quote. We travel anywhere in Texas for large commercial and security film jobs.

Those three are a government building, a limestone home and a big-box storefront, all in 3M film. Cars come to the shop, and one of the more memorable ones was a 1957 Chevy that Six Flags Fiesta Texas sent over for 3M ceramic tint, windshield included.
